Byesville Rotary kicked off the club’s spring and summer activities with its annual “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny.” Over 200 breakfasts were served and over 60 kids got to meet the Easter Bunny. Expert pancake maker—Larry Miller—made sure each kid got a special bunny shaped pancake.

On Saturday, April 22, club members will be joining the Cambridge Rotary, Lions, Lioness, and Kiwanis service clubs to hold a food drive at Reisbeck’s and Wal-Mart between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. The food and cash raised by this event will be donated to Grace Pantry, the Cambridge Salvation Army, Main Avenue United Methodist Food Pantry, the Stop Nine Food Pantry, and the Pleasant City Food Pantry. Five and $10 pre-packed food bags will be available to be purchased as donations. The service clubs will also collect cash donations.

On Friday, April, 28, Byesville Rotary partners with Southeastern Med to offer the club’s 16th Annual Health Screening. The goal of Byesville Rotary and Southeastern Med is to provide a low cost health screening to people who are uninsured or underinsured and to improve the health of our local community. Twenty-six screening tests will be available for one low price. PSA (prostate cancer) and TSH (thyroid) screening tests will be offered for an additional fee. Participants must be 18 years or older. Screenings are available by appointment only. Appointments can be made starting Monday, April 17, at 9:00am. Call 740-435-2900.

On Sunday, May 7 the club will host its 31st Scholarship Golf tournament. Proceeds from the tournament are used to help Meadow Brook seniors further their education. Members of the local community or invited to make a donation toward this effort or spend a day enjoying a round of golf with friends. More information will be available on the club’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/ByesvilleOhioRotary.

Chicken BBQ’s will begin on Saturday, May 17. As usual the club will be BBQ’ing at Rotary Park at the corner of Main and 2nd Streets in Byesville. This year the club will share space with the Byesville Farmers Market. Dates of the remaining BBQ’s are available on the club’s Facebook page.
