spring activities
Byesville Rotary has three events planned
for spring: 1) the club’s annual “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny,”2) a Health
Screening, and 3) their 33rd Scholarship Golf Scramble. Each of these
activities is aimed at providing a service to the community or is a fund raiser
with funds raised designated to provide a service through the community such as
the Health Screening, scholarships for local students, supporting the club’s
Christmas food basket program, or allowing the club to donate to various local
non-profit projects such as the “Night to Shine ” event for people with development
disabilities or the Salvation Army summer sack lunch program.
“Breakfast
with the Easter Bunny” will be held Saturday, April 13, 8:30 am—11:00 am at the Stop Nine Church of Christ Youth
Center in Byesville. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice and milk or coffee will be
served for $5.00. Breakfast for children five and under is free with purchase
of an adult breakfast. Special bunny pancakes will be served to kids. Pictures
with the Easter Bunny are complementary with purchase of breakfast. Kids will
receive a small Easter gift from the Bunny.
Two weeks later, the club in cooperation
with Southeastern Med will be holding its 18th annual reduced cost Health
Screening on Friday, April 26, from 7:00-9:00 am, at the Main Avenue United
Methodist Church activity building. Appointments are required and can be made
by calling 740-435-2900 after 9:00am starting on Monday, April 15.
The screening offers a Health Profile Screening
Package for $66 and includes Complete Blood Count, Comprehensive Metabolic
Panel, Lipid Profile, and Hemoglobin A1C. For more details on what is screened

Byesville Rotary provides fruit, pastry,
coffee and donates to participants.
Larry Miller, chair of the Byesville
Rotary Scholarship Golf Tournament, announced the tournament is scheduled for
May 5—that is Cinco de Mayo-- this year. The event will be held at the
Cambridge Country Club and will start at 2:00pm. The event is a 3 person
scramble. Entry fee is $55.00 per person / $165 per team. Contact Larry Miller

recruiting hole sponsors.
Scholarship applications for Meadowbrook
and Mid East Buffalo students are available at the school offices.
