Byesville Rotary spring activities

Byesville Rotary has three events planned for spring: 1) the club’s annual “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny,”2) a Health Screening, and 3) their 33rd Scholarship Golf Scramble. Each of these activities is aimed at providing a service to the community or is a fund raiser with funds raised designated to provide a service through the community such as the Health Screening, scholarships for local students, supporting the club’s Christmas food basket program, or allowing the club to donate to various local non-profit projects such as the “Night to Shine ” event for people with development disabilities or the Salvation Army summer sack lunch program.

“Breakfast with the Easter Bunny” will be held Saturday, April 13, 8:30 am—11:00 am at the Stop Nine Church of Christ Youth Center in Byesville. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice and milk or coffee will be served for $5.00. Breakfast for children five and under is free with purchase of an adult breakfast. Special bunny pancakes will be served to kids. Pictures with the Easter Bunny are complementary with purchase of breakfast. Kids will receive a small Easter gift from the Bunny.

Two weeks later, the club in cooperation with Southeastern Med will be holding its 18th annual reduced cost Health Screening on Friday, April 26, from 7:00-9:00 am, at the Main Avenue United Methodist Church activity building. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 740-435-2900 after 9:00am starting on Monday, April 15.

The screening offers a Health Profile Screening Package for $66 and includes Complete Blood Count, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Lipid Profile, and Hemoglobin A1C. For more details on what is screened and additional screenings and costs, see the Byesville Rotary on Facebook.

Byesville Rotary provides fruit, pastry, coffee and donates to participants.

Larry Miller, chair of the Byesville Rotary Scholarship Golf Tournament, announced the tournament is scheduled for May 5—that is Cinco de Mayo-- this year. The event will be held at the Cambridge Country Club and will start at 2:00pm. The event is a 3 person scramble. Entry fee is $55.00 per person / $165 per team.
